A female duo

Fanny adam is at the origin of this trip and responsible for this expedition.
Doctor in chemistry, specializing in natural substances for medicinal use, his profession has brought him closer to nature in search of new plants, as well as to rub shoulders with ultramarine indigenous peoples, memories of certain ancestral uses.
She has lived in Brittany for over 20 years where she practices sailing on a regular basis. Her second passion is motorsport: she has particularly developed an attachment to an old lady, a Traction from the 1950s. On board, she raced a regularity rally, crisscrossed the roads of France and Europe. If Fanny fell in love with this car, it is because it is "simple, no frills, robust and… plastic free".
For Fanny, traveling the Pan-American is also a personal challenge: achieving the feat of going to the end of these 40,000 kilometers and giving voice to these peoples.

“I have always liked to travel. My happy childhood on the family sailboat gave me a taste for adventure and discovery, but it was my doctoral studies devoted to traditional pharmacopoeia that made me passionate about it, as part of my research in land, for indigenous Polynesian society. These experiences and these encounters in the countries crossed have undoubtedly contributed to making me deeply aware of otherness, to creating bridges and one day imagining this adventure. For several years now with Gérard d'Aboville, my partner, I have had a singular affinity with Traction: Gérard has had one since the age of eighteen and passed on his passion to me. Car rally, rides, she and I already have thousands of kilometers in common and quite a bit of success, as this car has tremendous mechanical qualities and rare sympathy. "

" At the crossroads between history, geography and current affairs, we go to meet indigenous peoples. Our female duo will win the trust of these communities and forge special ties, especially with women who play a major role in the future of theirs… A new perspective that will help raise awareness among the general public. Finally, the aesthetic charm of the Traction-Avant will be a real asset for the spontaneous and positive contacts it will generate. We count on her to add a grain of salt to the adventure and put us to the test! Alongside Fanny, I am ready to take up the challenge of reaching 40,000 km on the clock with so many stories, encounters and landscapes to share with the viewer! "

Maéva Bardy is co-pilot and in charge of the images of the expedition for the production company Gédéon Programs. She has been traveling the planet for years as an Image Journalist and documentary maker. At ease on land and at sea, she specializes in itinerant missions. After a Master in molecular and cellular biology at the Ecole Normale Supérieure, she realizes that her place is not in a laboratory, but in the field and that she likes above all to tell stories ... She then turns to journalism, with additional training in cinema. At 40, traveling has become a way of life for her, and reporting has become a passion.
Sensitive to nature and the environment, Maéva regularly participates in Tara Oceans scientific expeditions as an on-board correspondent.

At the dawn of 2021, we think the right moment to live the Terra America adventure and to propose, through the meeting with the root peoples, a reconnection to the essential while exploring the grandiose landscapes of this fascinating continent.

“The interest of such an experience seemed to me so great that I considered it a real duty to attempt it. "
